Abstract

This Research Work Examines The Rhythmic Structure That Lies In Both (The Burning Wings) And Ali ahmoud Taha's(A Storm In A Skull) Poems. Where Rhythm Is Considered A Focal Component When It Comes To The Sturucture Of Poetry.The Subject Matter Of This Study Contains An Introduction, Followed By Two Chapters, And A Conclusion. The First Chapter, That Is Titled As: "What Is Structure And Rhythm", Treats The Concept Of Both Structure And Rhythm As Well As The Way Arabs And Non Arabs Conseive Them. While The Second Chapter Focuses On The Rhythmic Analysis Of The Two Poems.Starting With The External Rhythm, Based On Which We Tried To Analyse Some Verses Out Of The Two Poems In Order To Identify The Poetic Meters Upon Which Both Poems Were Built. Then We Attempted To Extract The Time, The Reasons And The Rhyme. Moving To The External Rhythm,Which Focuses On Repetition And The Different Poetic Devices And Figures Of Speech Such As Paronomasia And Oxymoron.In The End, The Conclusion Provides A Clear Set Of Findings That Has Been Reached Out Of This Study.
