Abstract

This study seeks to clarify the concept of digital citizenship and its manifestations in the texts of the digital content of the books of the second generation for the middle stage and the extent of the need for it in this era, which is characterized by the high demand for the use of technology in various fields, with the aim of providing a proposed vision to support the role of education in instilling the values of digital citizenship in the minds of learners, in order to address the wrong uses of technology that reflect poorly on the values of students and their behaviors.After studying the subject, we came to a number of conclusions, including that the school plays an important and prominent role in instilling the values of digital citizenship in the souls of learners through the curricula embodied in the books of the second generation of the intermediate stage. However, these values are not enough to keep pace with the rapid developments currently taking place in the world and the needs of the current generation.
