Abstract

This research is proposed to carry out a comparative analytical study of the translation of the didactic terms in three dictionaries, which are entitled: «Le Lexique Pédagogique»,«Le Lexique des Termes des Méthode et des Manières d’Enseignement» and « Le Dictionnaire Terminologique Unifié de La Supervision Pédagogique» . It aims to study the different techniques used in the translation of the didactic term also to identify if the Arabic equivalent proposed by these three dictionaries reflects the same original concept of the didactic term.This study is mainly based on the analysis of the translation of the chosen term and the identification of the echnique used on the one hand and on the identification of the concept of the Arabic equivalent proposed on the other hand. Thus, we have divided our work into two parts: the first part is a theoretical part, it consists of two chapters, the first is entitled "About translation and terminology and the second is entitled "Definition of the term and of the didactic term and the problem of its translation". The second part is the practical part, which is devoted to the analysis of the chosen corpus; we made a qualitative analysis of twenty -eight terms, which consists of defining the didactic term in order to fully understand its concept, discovering the techniques used to translate these terms in the three dictionaries. Then analyzing the concept of the proposed Arabic equivalents and finally addressing the issue of polysemy or plurality. Finally, we ended our research with a conclusion that answered the problem and the questions posed. We found that a single term can have several equivalents but these equivalents proposed for the same term sometimes do not reflect the original concept of this term.
