Abstract

In this study, we have dealt with the subject of "textual thersholds" in the novel "Ras el-mihna" for "Azzeddine Djlaoudji" which is one of the most importanttopics witnessed in the recent studies of Contemporary Arabic novel, and its importance lies in the fact that it helps to form knowledge about the main text, and no less important, as it opens the way to the recipient to break into the text and cross to its entries, it forms an entry point for reading it, and through it the recipient builds his expectations, as it is a basic view of crossing into the text which will be a closed world difficult to break into and decipher without these thresholds or enterances. So th thresholds in the novel "Ras el-mihna" give the reader a literary touch in order to delve into the text with all its mysteries, as it came as a mirror reflecting the textual body starting from the cover to the title, the dedication and the introduction
