Abstract: The Plain of Chelghoum laid is located in the North-eastern Algeria, it is part of the upstream zone of the great watershed Kébir Rhumel, and spreads over an area of 600 km2. The study of different climatic factors shows that the climate is at the boundary of sub-humid and semi-arid area, and characterized by a hot dry season and another cold and rainy. The hydrogeological study distinguishes the training may be as aquifers like as: aquifer of Mio-Pliocene-Quaternary aquifer of Eocene and Cretaceous aquifer. According to the analysis of piezometric maps, flows are NW-SE direction at the northern area of Wadi Rhumel. Otherwise, in the South zone of Oued Rhumel the flow of groundwater is SE-NW. At the center of the plain, these flows converge to a large flow axis of SW-NE direction. Groundwater is characterized by a dominance of chlorides that appear to be related to the geological nature and reservoir rich ensalts rich, regarding the potability and suitability for irrigation, much of the analyzed water points have a low degree of salinity and a medium to high quality.
