Abstract

Bitter orange is considered a fruit rich in vitamins and is characterized by numerous scientific properties and active components. It is regarded as one of the most important sources of essential oils, especially in the perfume, medical, and cosmetic industries. In this work, we carried out the extraction of essential oils from the peels of bitter orange, thanks to its natural components that support skin health, purification, and revitalization. In addition to its wide applications in cosmetics, bitter orange also possesses high nutritional value, including the regulation of blood sugar levels. Therefore, the aim of this work is to produce cosmetic products and food items. Ultimately, this work allowed us to deepen our understanding of biological and natural industries and to enhance our knowledge of using natural materials in cosmetic and food applications. We successfully created natural cosmetic products based on bitter orange oil, as well as a food product derived from the same plant, and we were able to obtain products with excellent performance and clear effectiveness.
