Abstract:	دراسة العتبات النصية يعني البحث في الدلالات التي تحملها العلامات اللغوية وغير اللغوية، إ ذ هي بمثابة مفاتيح للقراءة، وتقوم بمساعدة القارئ إلى الدخول والغوص في أعماق النص والبحث في دلالاته وفك شفراته ودهاليزه، باعتماد المقاربة السميائية لفهم واستنباط تلك المعاني والدلالات. أردنا فيه تقصي العتبات الخارجية )العنوان، الغلاف( وكذا العتبات الداخلية )المقدمة، الإهداء، العناوين، الداخلية، الخاتمة( في رواية الشوك والقرنفل ليحيى السنوار
Description:	The study of textual thresholds centers on analyzing the semantic implications carried by both linguistic and non-linguistic signs, as these elements function as gateways to reading. They guide the reader into thr depths of the text, enabling a deeper exploration of its meanings and hidden dimensions. This process relies on a semiotic approach to interpret and axtract layered meanings and connotations.This research seeks to nvestigate the external thresholds (suvh as the itle and cover) and the internal thresholds (including the ntroduction, dedication, internal headings, and conclusion) in the novel Thorns and Carnations by Yahya Al-sinwar.
