Description: Tuberculosis is a chronic respiratory infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis is a major public health problem worldwide, and particularly in Algeria. An epidemiological study was carried out in the Mila region, analyzing clinical and biological data on 163 adult patients with all forms of tuberculosis. All these patients were admitted to the Mohamed Maddahi hospital at Ferdjioua. In the light of our results, women were more affected by tuberculosis than men. In addition, pulmonary tuberculosis was more prevalent than extra-pulmonary tuberculosis. In addition, the study identified certain risk factors, such as advanced age, and certain comorbidities such as renal failure and cardiovascular disease. In addition, the study also identified certain biological parameters that were strongly associated with an increased risk of mortality, such as elevated levels of C-reactive Protein (CRP), blood glucose, creatinine, and urea, as well as decreased platelet levels.
