Abstract

The poem Ya Jarha Gairan Fi Elwatin" from the collection Between the Rupture of Wounds and their Stitching by poet Souriya Hamdoush represents a semantic study we conducted to uncover the artistic secrets and hidden meanings of this poem. The poem depicts the sorrow, pain, and misery that pervade the poet's psyche due to the Palestinian issue. Through this research, we aimed to analyze the poem from various aspects, including its phonetic, morphological, syntactic, and lexical dimensions, using a descriptive-analytical methodology.The first chapter of the study focused on the phonetic significance of this poem by quantifying and analyzing the significance of each sound. We also examined the types of recurring sound patterns in the poem by dissecting the poetic lines. In the second chapter, we delved into the morphological significance and simple morphological forms. Additionally, we conducted a syntactic analysis of the nominal and verbal phrases, and studied the implications of the imperative and vocative styles on the lexical and contextual meaning of the poem's key vocabulary.
