Abstract: We tried, through this modest study, to address the problem of the relationship of emotional intelligence to change leadership among the heads of departments and directors of institutes at Abdel Hafeez Bouwalsouf University, who numbered 30 professors. Emotional intelligence by clarifying its concept and its most important models and addressing an important element, which is the management of emotions, with the aim of changing the perspective of individuals, and eliminating the illusions and opinions that prevailed about the concept of emotion. As for the practical side, we measured the relationship of emotional intelligence to leadership change. The field study proved that There is a strong positive relationship to emotional intelligence and change eadership according to the viewpoint of the sample that consisted of department heads and directors of university institutes, and this means that there is a great awareness of the importance of leaders practicing emotional intelligence skills when leading changes. Goleman and others in "Their New Leaders", where he said, "The primary task of leaders is to stir up the good feelings in the souls of those who lead them, when leaders create Both forms of resonance, which is a reservoir of positivity that liberates all that is good in eople.” Leaders must have emotional intelligence skills to lead changes and face the pressures they face.
