The current dissertation deals with the investigation of teacher’s and learners’ attitudes towards the improvement of speaking proficiency through the use of prefabricated sequences. The problem raised in this study is about whether prefabricated sequences enhance speaking proficiency. Accordingly, itquestions whether teachers and students have a positive attitude towards the use of prefabricated sequences to achieve speaking proficiency. The research is conducted by means of questionnaires which are handed to teachers and students for the sake of investigating their views about the use of prefabricated sequences and the role they play in the development of the speaking proficiency. This study hypothesizes that if students use prefabricated sequences, they will achieve speaking proficiency. The results of the research revealthe views of both teachers and students about the effectiveness of prefabricated sequences on the improvement of speaking. Subsequently, the results are commented on and possible reasons for their occurrence are mentioned.en_US
