The study, titled "The Role of DNA Fingerprinting in Criminal Evidence," addresses the relationship between DNA fingerprinting and criminal evidence by highlighting the extent to which the Algerian legislator has egulated the use of DNA fingerprinting in criminal proceedings? It does so by defining the conceptual framework of DNA fingerprinting and criminal evidence, identifying the applications of DNA fingerprinting and its role in criminal evidence, as well as diagnosing the current status of DNA fingerprinting in criminal evidence within Algerian legislation. This includes referring to the main legal texts that address the issue of DNA fingerprinting, its probative value, and the stance of Algerian legislators and judiciary on its use in criminal evidence, along with the most significant Arab and Western perspectives on its reliability. In conclusion, the study found that DNA fingerprinting has brought a qualitative leap in the field of criminal evidence. It has become a reliable tool for achieving justice due to its precision and neutrality and plays an important role in revealing and resolving various crimes, whether in criminal or non-criminal cases .en_US
