dc.description.abstract | Context is considered one of the key topics in linguistics, as it is one of the major clues that reveals the speaker's intentions and purposes. This study aims to explore the impact of context on the production of meaning through poetic examples from the renowned pre-Islamic and early Islamic poet Hassan ibn Thabit. The objective is to highlight contextual meaning within linguistic and situational frameworks, since words alone—at any linguistic level—cannot fully convey the meaning of poetry or reveal the poet’s intent without relying on context. In this study, we examine the concept of context, its types, and its relationship with semantics and levels of linguistic analysis. The applied section focuses on demonstrating how context shapes and directs meaning, reflecting the poet's psychological, social, and religious perspectives, and how this contributes to asserting poetic expression in the reader’s experience. | en_US |
