Our study، titled The Lexicographical Text and Its Role in Modern Lexicography: A Reading in AL-Wajiz Dictionary by the Arabic Language Academy، aims to highlight lexicographical concepts as a field concerned with the study of vocabulary and its organization within dictionaries. With the rise of modern lexicography، which has benefited from linguistic developments to produce more accurate and better-organized dictionaries، the lexicographical text has taken a central place. It is considered the basic unit that reflects the way lexical material is presented، both in its internal and external structure، due to its key components that help simplify content and make it easier for learners to understand. This is what we tried to study and analyse through Al-Wajiz dictionary. Our study showed that this topic requires more extensive and in-depth research، especially regarding the components of the Lexicographical text in various types of dictionaries.en_US
