Abstract

This research is an applied theoretical study of selected poems from the Diwan of Abu Al-Aswad Al-Du'ali, in the light of semantics, where the research was tagged with (Semantics between grammatical structure and rhetorical purpose - selected poems - from the Diwan of Abu Al-Aswad Al-Du'ali). The aim of the research was to reveal the characteristics of his poetry and the diversity of his methods and purposes and for that the search was divided into two chapters: Theoretical in which we were exposed to the concept of semantics and its types of news and creation and the rhetorical purposes attached to them, Then the concept of grammatical structure and its divisions such as nominal and actual structure and their conditions in detail from introduction, delay, eletion and mention, and the applied included two sections, the first is a brief about the life of the poet and then a comprehensive definition of his Diwan, the second topic was centered on the analysis of samples of his poems were of our choice, and We came to a conclusion that captures the most important findings we reached through this study
