Abstract

This study aims to reveal the nature of the rhythmic manifestations that abound in the muwashahat, using the muwashahat of Lisan al-Din Ibn al-Khatib as a sample for research and analysis.In this study, we tried to understand the concept of the muwashshah and his elements, as well as the rhythm and his characteristics. From here, the muwashshahat differed in thier construction from the vertical poems, by leaving the principle of one rhyme, it relies on a number of alternating and symmetrical rhymes, according to a specific pattern, haracterized by a kind of excitement from traditional rhymed poetry, which is subject to the unified weight and rhyme restrictions.
