Abstract: Our memorandum entitled "The Effect of Teaching a Second Foreign Language (English) on the Development of Linguistic Thinking" contained two chapters, one of them theoretical, in which we referred to the most mportant concepts related to teaching the English language and its implications for the thinking of students in this primary stage, with reference to the most important pros and cons. of teaching English. The second hapter is a field study supported by questionnaires for teachers and learners alike. This work culminated in some results and suggestions for future consideration.
