Abstract

This study's objective is to use a semiotic method to read Yassin Boudraa Nouri's poetry in his collection The Mandolinist. To do so, it will undertake a complete applied study of this literary genre and use the approach's mechanisms to analyze its implications as well as its symbols It discussed the value of the semiotic approach and how to decipher its codes, dive into its depths, look for its implications, and attempt to capture the most crucial linkages that control it in order to provide the reader the chance to generatenew signals. Therefore, through our study, we attempted to use the semiotic approach's mechanisms and apply them to the poetic texts in the Divan, based on analyses and corollaries that covered both the surface and deeper meanings of the chosen texts, at the level of the textual body and its labyrinths, as well as a study that dealt with textual thresholds, and emphasizing the feature of colors that are frequently mentioned due to the indications and revelations they carry We were able to search and access the poetry thanks to color symbolism. As a result, the study was split into two chapters, each of which began with an introduction that described the significance of the study and its methods. The semiotic approach is followed by a theoretical chapter that is interlaced with a study of the notion, then a chapter that applies the semiotic approach to Yassin Boudraa Nouri's poetry and emphasizes the aesthetics of the title and colors.
