Abstract

We have discussed in our dissertation which is entitled " The Manifestations of Reality in the Historical Novel, Good Struggle as a Model " on the most important elements underlying this topic. It is also considered as one of the most studied topics by researchers and scholars. As a starting point, we have mentioned several efinitions of general and specific historical novel as well as its characteristics and conditions.In the first chapter under the name " The Historical Novel in Arabic Literature" we have studied the balance between what is novelistic and what is historic. We have also dealt with the relationship of the novel with history, the emergence of historical novel among Arabs, the historical novel for Najibe Mahfoud, and the transformation of the historical novel towards reality.In the second chapter also under the title " Forms Representing History in the Novel of Good Struggle" we have worked on the construction of the historical character between the reality of history and the space of the imaginary novelist, in addition to the novelist's imaginary manifestations in following events. Then we have concluded our research with the most historical novel results
