Abstract

This memo discusses about the of science fiction and is composed of two chapters: a theoretical chapter and an applied chapter. The first chapter aims to define science fiction literature and trace its historical development in both western and arab contexts, the chapter concludes by highlighting the important features and themes addressed, in this genre of literature. Let’s move on to the second chapter titled “manifestations of science fiction in the novel beyond our five senses”, in this chapter, we delve into the research on the main topics and theories on which this novel is based, and how it applies them. Then we discuss the temporal structure of the novel, concluding the chapter with a study of the positive and negative aspects of science fiction. In conclusion, we arrived at a set of results stating that arab science fiction is derived from western science fiction and that technology and physics have played a prominent role in this literature. They serve as the real foundation for the narrative event. In general, science fiction novels offer mysterious and adventurous stories with a futuristic world that combines, science and imagination.
