Abstract: | In this research, titled "The Artistic Structure in the Novel Maryam's Tree," we dealt with the following issues an introduction in which we dealt with: the concept of structure, art, and artistic structure, as well as a historical background on the Algerian novel.As for the first chapter, we dealt with the author, the novel, the general framework of the novel, and the most important issues raised, the first of which is violence of all kinds, political, social, family, physical and psychological violence, which is a dangerous phenomenon known to Algerian society as the black decade, as explained by the novelist in her novel, as well as the issue of women, unemployment and illegal immigration.While the second chapter, which is entitled the artistic structure of the novel, in which we touched on the elements of the artistic structure such as characters, events, conflict, time, and others. The search ends with a number of results, the most important of which are: The success of the novelist in the construction of the novel by using all its elements, as its components are generally available (event, personality and style),The writer's good possession of the mechanisms of narration, her language is smooth, her sentences are sober and coherent, her structure is tight and varied, and she is able to describe, dialogue, and reveal the secrets of the characters. |
