Abstract

The short story still attracts the attention of scholars, researchers and critics because of the exciting elements of its instruction. This research examines a short story entitled; The Revolving Chair, for the Moroccan storyteller Abedlali Ben Allal Abu Djalil who is not well known and famous but his writings are good and respectable; and through this study we shed light on how the narrative structure is formed, how the events were developed and how the story was ended and its purposes. This research is composed of two main parts the theoretical part and the practical part In the theoretical part, we explain the concepts and notions related to the research in two chapters: the definition of structure and story, storytelling elements, including characters, time, space and events. While the practical partis detailed in three chapters: the structure of characters and events, the structure of time and space, and the structure of language and style. Finally, we tried to discover the purpose of the story, its intertextuality and characters.
