Abstract

The book of one thousand and one nights is considered one of the most important Arabic narrative books, and even if it did not get the important it deserves from the Arabs, there is no doubt that it got it from the foreigners, and this is witnessed by the abundance of its translations and editions in various foreign languages.It is a transient civilizational encyclopedia that included the imaginary and the miraculous as much as the reality and the real. It took metaphysical beings as personalities for it to make the miraculous event and form the mythical element that was the focus of our research and the controversy of our study.This study titled the aesthetic employment of myth in one thousand and one night aimed to shed light on the places of myth in the tales of one thousand and one night and This is by seeking aesthetics of myth and its impact in the texts of the nighte and in the soul of the recipient of suspense. Pleasure and intense anticipation of the events because of the excitement and wonder they contain that allow him to escape to a better world.
