Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the impact of the exchange rate change on the balance of payments in Algeria during the period 2010-2020. In order to achieve this goal, a standard model was estimated through the regression of the exchange rate on the balance of payments with the help of one of the statistical programs prepared for that, which is the statistical program Eviews. The results of the study concluded that 67.54% of the changes that occur in the balance of payments are caused by the changes that occurred in the exchange rate, and that the remaining percentage is due to other variables that were not included in the model, including inflation.
