The transition from traditional ways of teaching languages resulted in the introduction of new teaching instructions that promoted learners' participation inside the classroom and boosted their motivation through the use of group work activities, as in the case of Mila University Centre. This current research paper attempts to investigate the role of group work in enhancing English as a foreign language learners' motivation, as well as their awareness of the concept and its implementation. As a result, Two questionnaires are used to analyse students ' and teachers' attitudes on the subject. Out of a total population of 155, the first questionnaire was distributed to 70 students from the English department of Abd El hafid Boussouf - Mila University Centre. The second questionnaire, on the other hand, was distributed to 10 English teachers from the same department. The results of the students' questionnaire show that group work has a beneficial influence on students' otivation because of the variety of group work activities used, as well as their understanding of the value and relevance of both group work and the classroom environment. Furthermore, findings from the teachers' questionnaire reveal that team environment and group work activities increased students' motivation.en_US
