dc.description.abstractkind of reality. This study aims to examine the role of Rock music in learning English vocabulary. It aims to demonstrate whether Rock songs could contribute to increasing and enriching the learners’ English vocabulary. Two research questions are presented in the present research. The first question is about whether rock songs can help learners overcome their English vocabulary problems. The second question aims to examine whether Rock music contributes to building rich and meaningful vocabulary for EFL learners. In regard to the research method used in this study, a mixed research method is chosen. The data are gathered through a questionnaire distributed to 100 students of third year of English at the Department of Foreign Languages at Abdelhafid Boussouf University Center of Mila, and an interview specified for four participants who are true fans of Rock music. The findings reveal that Rock music is indeed helpful for learners in improving their English vocabulary. Finally, this research work presents a variety of suggestions and recommendations for further studies in an attempt to highlight learners' English vocabulary acquisition through rock musicen_US
