dc.description.abstractThe present research seeks to explore teachers’ perceptions on using Project-Based Learning approach. Its aim is to explore how teachers understand project-based learning, its benefits, and its challenges. Accordingly, within the context of this study, three research questions are raised: (1) How do teachers understand Project-Based Learning? (2) What are the benefits of using Project-Based Learning? (3) What are the challenges of using Project-Based Learning? To collect data, semi-structured interviews were conducted with five teachers of English as a foreign language at Mila University Centre, thematic analysis was used to code and analyze the data collected. The findings of the investigation showed that teachers perceive Project-Based Learning as a useful teaching method that boosts students’ engagement and helps students comprehend difficult topics through self-learning and learning by doing. The benefits of implementing Project-Based Learning included enhancing academic achievement, skill development, and collaboration. The study also revealed the challenges that the teachers face, such as lack of time, lack of knowledge, and lack of materials. The study ends up with essential suggestions for the future research to implement Project-Based Learning successfully.en_US
