The notion of integrating extensive listening in language teaching is supported by many scholars and ofessionals in the field of language pedagogy. In essence, the present study aims at highlighting EFL learners’ attitudes towards extensive listening to develop students’ listening skill at the department of English at Mila university center. The study is built on the following hypothesis EFL teachers and learners hold positive attitudes towards the usefulness of extensive listening in enhancing students’ listening skills. To achieve this goal, this research is based on the use of one research tool which is a questionnaire. It was administered to seventy (70) second year LMD students and seven (07) oral expression teachers at the same department. The results indicate that the EFL students and teachers hold positive attitudes towards extensive listening practice both inside and outside the classroom. Moreover, based on the data gathered, the use of extensive listening encourages students to improve their listening skill, build self-confidence and sustain motivation. Furthermore, the results provide strong evidence for the importance of EL to help learners enhance their pronunciation and word recognition. It makes them more familiar with different accents and speech speed. Further, using different listening materials extensively can develop learners ‘comprehension level. Therefore, the more they practice extensive listening, the more their language skills and comprehension level becomes better. Thus, the research hypothesis is confirmed and the findings reveal that students and teachers hold a positive attitude towards EL strategy.en_US
