Abstract

This research aims at identifying the contribution of small and medium enterprises in the Algerian economy and the knowledge of the different bodies that support them We have found that small and medium enterprises contribute significantly to the Algerian economy by contributing to job creation, thus reducing unemployment, increasing GDP and increasing value added, as well as contributing to the development of non-hydrocarbon exports The Algerian government has worked to support small and medium enterprises by providing them with several bodies that support them, and have established their own ministry.In addition to the activities of the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and its affiliates, several governmental bodies and specialized institutions have been found to play an active role in the development of small and medium enterprises
