dc.description	The summary of this research paper deals with the phenomenon of omission in rhetoric ,and its purposes ,we took Diwan of Ahmed Rahmoun entitled "over the slope of conjecture "as a sample in our study ,this is in order to show how the omission was manifested ,what is its concept and what are its rhetorical purposes ,so as to answer these questions And others we have divided our research into two chapters: in the first chapter ,we have tried to to define the omission and then state its issues among modern and ancient scholars ,moreover,we have tried to show its forms ,causes and conditions,after that we ended our research by a group of rhetorical purposes The objective from this research is to show the omission as a rhetorical art . The second chapter ,entitled " the manifestation of omission in Diwan of Ahmed Rahmoun ,we have tried to show the .most mportant omission topics such as : the assigned and not assigned ,the genitive.......etc Finally,after processing and studying the suggested issues we have come to some very important points : omission is an art of brevity . _ diversity of omission rhetorical purposes such as : exaltation,glorification and excitement. _ omission has verbal and intangible predicate . _ the omission phenomenon is manifested clearly in Diwan of Ahmed Rahmoun. _ Ahmed was famous and excellent in exploiting this rhetorical phenomenon in his writing and oetry.	en_US
