dc.description	The aim of this study is to form a conceptual framework for the Foreign Exchange Market, which is known Forex market, and identifying the mechanisms and procedures used for trading in it, and then shed light on the methods used by traders to predict the direction of exchange rates.After reviewing the various theoretical aspects related to the foreign exchange market, the applied study came as an attempt to reveal some of the factors affecting the foreign exchange market, by studying the relationship between the US dollar index (which measures the value of the US dollar compared to a basket of foreign currencies) and some economic variables, namely: Oil prices, the federal discount rate, the unemployment rate, and the Dow Jones index. The study population includes the exchange rates of all currencies traded in the foreign exchange market, while the sample was limited to the US dollar index against other foreign currencies during the time period (2015-2020). The study reached results indicating that there is a statistically significant relationship between the US dollar index and the federal discount rate, oil prices, the unemployment rate, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average, The multiple linear regression equation for these variables was extracted and analyzed.	en_US
