dc.description	The Arabic sentence is the fundamental unit of speech in this language. It is the basis and the pillar of grammar which represents the syntactic aspect of language. This study investigates the compositional effect of phrases that has syntactic and grammatical function and phrases that has not in the collection of poems " Green Times " by Abu Al – Qasim Saadullah .
