dc.description	This research seals to address the novel «the end » by hamida shenoufi , relying on a semiotic critical approach to revel the hidden connotations carried by all the narrative elements that made this novel , given that science of semiotics focused on studying narrative texts and , extracting their surface and deep meanings . This study was semiotic approach that worked on understanding , and interpreting the various sign systems that were observed in this literary achievement, which shed light on the status of women and the land in the Algerian reality after the period of independence and , the condition of this people during the period of black decade	en_US
