Abstract

This study aims to adress the concept of the impact of the financial structure on strategic decisions, which is one of the most important financial decisions in an organization and on which its future is determined..... Therefore, it has become necessary for the institution to improve its performance by adopting a strategic decision that ensures its survival...... When making any strategic decision in the institution, it must ensure that the financial side bears that strategic decision. There are also several internal and external parties that influence financial and strategic decisions........ Based on the above, we conducted a field study at the Algerian water corporation during the period (2017-2019), to show the relationship between the financial structure and strategic decision based on fiscal budgets and accounts results for the institution during the study period, and an interview with the director of the finance and accounting department and other department heads. The findings of the study show that: The institution is characterized by financial instability, and it hasn't a financial independent, but depends on an expansion strategy..... Decisions made by the director after consulting the framework of the organization are the most important points of view when making financial and strategic decisions.... We also found that the relationship between the financial structure and the strategic decision of an organization is an equal and symbiotic relationship, that is, one can be constructed in light of the other, since an organization's reliance on a particular financial structure influences its strategic decisions.
